FAQ

What does it collect?
The PR HUD sends nothing anywhere: it reads your PRs and runs through your own gh login, on your Mac. Crew is opt-in. When you join, it shares your username, devtime, any status you set, any shout-out you post, and, unless you switch it off, time per app or site from a fixed list of well-known ones. Anything not on that list is counted as "Other". URLs, window titles, and app names are never sent.
Why Right Shift?
Nobody uses it for anything else, so it's free to summon the HUD without fighting your other shortcuts. Tap to peek, hold to pin.
Does it work on Linux or Windows?
No. It's a native macOS app built with SwiftUI and needs macOS 13 or newer. It runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
Is it free?
Yes, and open source. No account is needed for the HUD. The only catch: you'll have to look at your own CI failures instead of blaming the flaky test.
How do updates work?
The app checks GitHub Releases on its own and installs updates in one click. Each download is verified by SHA-256 checksum and code signature, and if anything goes wrong it rolls back to the previous version.
